Christmas Countdown

What incredible weather we have been having.It has made having a shop and bit of a challenge.It hasn't stopped us having fun getting everything ready in store.

Our Festive Flower School is being held on Thursday 16th Dec from 6.30pm til 9pm, call us at the shop for more details and to book.

We've been gettin' down and dirty !!

Not in an exciting way you understand.The shop is undergoing a major clearup and clear out operation.This week is traditionally quiet with half term so this week it is! Changes are being slowly made to the shop which we hope you will love.Oh and the new chandelier is up it is soooo gorgeous!

Debbie has been planning Christmas designs which are looking really good. The team are getting really excited at the thought of having some new techniques to play with and we know you are going to love them!

Our next Wedding Fair is at The Lodge On Loch Lomond Hotel,Luss on 24th October from 12 thru til 4pm with the two suites we are decorating and also a Catwalk show there will be plenty to see and to inspire you.

Also coming up will be our popular Christmas Open Nights...dates still to confirm but we will keep you posted.

Feeling disgruntled today...Customer service is everything!!! Ordered an ipod touch for Amy's birthday yesterday from a company I admire for it's retail skills.Discovery led,consumer led,etceteraetcetera..whatever.It is a brand I admire.Estimated shipping time 24hrs.... .great!Checked out status today...expecting it today.My original order has been cancelled and upgraded but now not expected to be shipped for a week!!!Did I get an email to let me know ...no!!!!
If you order a dozen roses tomorrow that is what you will get.Don't expect a delivery of 14 roses next week because we couldn't do it today,or tomorrow.Apple learn a lesson and sort out your customer experience whether website or store discovery !!!

What we love today

Autumn is on it's way and we are looking forward to an Indian Summer.Our favourite things in the shop today are teddybear sunflowers and some fabby paphiopedlums..yumm!

Homes and Interiors Show Glasgow

Well..we came..we saw...we conquered!!! A new venture for us spreading the vision that flowers and plants from a florist were not the same as a supermarket! The biggest hurdle was convincing people that what we were doing was real and not artificial! I did feel that some of time I was promoting our home town as somewhere worth visiting but was delighted today that a couple came in today just to see the shop,and spend some money,always good!!The inevitable has happened of course....I need to change things and NOW !! This is good (I tell my long suffering hubby) it is what keeps us fresh and exciting! On the plus side....new display features for our new couture collection and the most fabulous crystal chandelier at the most ridiculously brilliant price...downside...one display table still in back of car and have to wait til Tuesday to get chandelier up,but it is the most exquisite thing.

I'm not a flowery person.....

Yesterday was one of those upstairs...downstairs kind of days.Customers who would be perfectly happy to still have servants but instead they have to make do with cleaners..sorry that should read a housekeeper!

The shop is full of wonderous plants. We have anthuriums,orchids,nepenthes,etc and right at the door to encourage people to come in some stunning medinillas and beatiful pink aechmea.

A girl in her twenties was dragged in by her Mum who was ooohing and aahhing and I promise you was actually drooling! Little drops on the floor was the give away! The throw away line as the daughter brushed passed me while I was mopping up...You Know I Don't Think I'm A Flowery Kind of Person.

I could comment but really I shoudn't!
